Nuy Introduces Its First Drink In A Can – A Mimosa For Any Time Of Day

Few drinks capture the spirit of laid-back gatherings quite like a mimosa. Now Nuy Winery has introduced its very first drink in a can – a bright, refreshing mimosa designed to suit South Africans’ easy-going outdoor lifestyle.

The new Nuy Mimosa Orange Sparkling Spritzer is a light, lively drink with 5% alcohol – a vibrant blend of sparkling white wine and orange juice, with no added sugar.

Why this new product?
For AC Goodger, Marketing Manager at Nuy Winery, the idea was refreshingly straightforward: create something delicious, convenient and just a little playful.

“We’re seeing mimosa gaining popularity far beyond the traditional brunch setting. People are enjoying it at all times of the day. That inspired us to add something new to our range – a mimosa in a can that’s easy to take along to a braai, ideal for picnics and just as at home in a cooler bag for a day outdoors,” he says.

It’s what’s inside
What sets this mimosa apart is its focus on quality ingredients. It is made with 100% orange juice concentrate, with no added flavourings, colourants or extra sugar. The result is a bright, natural citrus profile reminiscent of freshly squeezed orange juice, lifted by delicate bubbles from Nuy’s own Sauvignon Blanc-based sparkling wine, produced in the fertile Breede River Valley.

The artwork
Even the can itself reflects a sense of place. The orange illustrations were specially commissioned from De Doorns artist Hildegard Reyneke (@tekenhildegard), who created the design using pencil and watercolour.

How to enjoy
Enjoy it chilled straight from the can, or serve it in a glass with a slice of orange or a sprig of rosemary for a simple but elegant touch, the new Nuy Mimosa keeps things effortlessly festive.

Where to buy
The Nuy Mimosa is available at R25 per can or R100 for a four-pack from Nuy Winery’s online shop at https://nuywinery.co.za/product/mimosaorangesparkling/, as well as at the popular Nuy on the Hill destination on the R60 route between Worcester and Robertson.
