Time Out Market Cape Town – the food and cultural market that brings the best of the city together under one roof – is set to tantalise taste buds and ring in the season with a brand new summer menu, carefully crafted by the city’s top chefs and restaurateurs. Located at the V&A Waterfront, the Market’s hot new menu offering promises an unforgettable culinary experience, showcasing the best of Cape Town’s food scene.
“Our chefs have outdone themselves heading into the 2025/2026 season, creating dishes that capture the essence of summer while showcasing the best our city has to offer,” says Russ Meyer, General Manager of Time Out Market Cape Town. “From salads to sushi and flavourful curries, we’re confident our new menu additions are where the vibes are at.”
At Barakat, visitors can enjoy slow-braised carrot and pea bredie (with lamb or a vegan option without meat), fragrant Cape Malay chicken curry, and aromatic fish frikkadel. Una Más Taqueria is serving up vibrant dishes like roasted artichokes and brussels sprouts (a special smoky twist, not how you would expect), street corn potato salad, and soft-shell tacos filled with smoked portobello mushrooms or southern fried chicken strips. Sushiya’s zesty summer roll and tiger prawn hand roll are perfect for seafood lovers, while Ramenhead’s chilled ramen and sapporo-style tofu miso offer a refreshing twist on traditional Japanese cuisine.
Meat lovers will delight in De Vrije’s Die Moerse Morsige Burger, featuring free-range beef and crispy onions, while Carne’s avocado salad, free-range half-grilled chicken, and penne alfredo pasta provide lighter options. Kapoochka’s menu boasts an array of Indian-inspired dishes, including masala chai crème brûlée, pistachio kulfi, tandoori king prawns, and biryani options (served with chicken, lamb or vegetables). NØSH is serving up international flavours with its breakfast banh mi, Sabich breakfast sandwich, and Saigon sub, while Unframed Ice Cream’s sweet treats like brownie cups and pistachio white chocolate cookies are the perfect way to cap off a meal.
“The curated selection of food, drinks, and entertainment throughout the summer season is set to wow those travelling to the city and elevate the summer for locals alike,” says Russ Meyer. “We’ve worked hard to create dishes that showcase the best of Cape Town’s culinary scene.”
The summer menu will be available from October 2025 to March 2026, and guests can look forward to enjoying the Market’s lively atmosphere, complete with live music and fun activities available throughout the summer season.
