A Fresh Take on Winelands Interiors

A beautiful home doesn’t always need a complete makeover. Sometimes, the right colour, a considered piece of furniture or a clever styling touch is all it takes to make a space feel entirely new.

That is the thinking behind Houselift, the interiors and styling concept founded by renowned designer Ingrid Loud, which has now arrived in the Cape Winelands with interior stylist and project manager Zoë Straw at the helm.

Recently relocated to the Franschhoek area with her family, Zoë brings an eclectic creative background to her new role, having worked across modelling, presenting, acting, fashion, décor styling and entrepreneurship. She also spent more than a decade co-owning and curating three successful Johannesburg markets, including Fourways Farmers Market and Waterfall Market.

Her approach to interiors is relaxed, personal and refreshingly unfussy. Rather than imposing a particular look, Houselift works with what clients already have – helping them refine, refresh and reimagine their spaces in ways that feel authentic to their lifestyle.

From giving a tired room a new sense of character to restyling existing pieces, rethinking a kitchen or bringing a long-held decorating idea to life, the focus is on thoughtful transformation rather than unnecessary renovation.

For Zoë, bringing Houselift to the Winelands is a natural fit – combining her love of beautiful spaces and people with the distinctive architecture, character and relaxed elegance of the region.

Together with Ingrid Loud and Johannesburg stylist and project manager Candice Ribeiro, Zoë is part of a team making professional interior expertise accessible, creative and enjoyable – proving that sometimes, your home simply needs a little lift.
