The Good Table Returns for its Fourth Dinner, Serving Up Winter Comfort Food for a Good Cause

The Good Table

Cape Town’s popular communal dining experience, The Good Table, returns to The Gin Bar on Tuesday, 25 August, inviting guests to gather around the table, miss the traffic and enjoy an evening of exceptional food while supporting Ladles of Love.

Now in its fourth event, The Good Table has already raised more than R40,000 for Ladles of Love through its first three dinners, with one final winter themed event planned for Heritage Month in September.

This month’s menu has been created by Cape Town chef Marn de Bluum’s team, who will be serving a comforting traditional shepherd’s pie alongside a delicious vegetarian version accompanies by a green salad. In a fitting collaboration, fresh ingredients for the dinner will be sourced through Ladles of Love’s Feed the Soil programme, helping showcase produce grown through the initiative.

Guests can also look forward to artisan bread from Jason Bakery, wines from La Brune in Elgin and a sweet finish courtesy of Honest Chocolate.

Whether you’re catching up with friends, entertaining colleagues or simply looking for a memorable Tuesday evening, The Good Table offers the perfect opportunity to skip the traffic and enjoy good food that does good – and hopefully make a few good friends in the process.
