Save the date! From 22–24 May 2026, Shepstone Gardens will host the fourth edition of RMB Latitudes Art Fair, bringing together Africa’s finest galleries and artists — along with talent from the diaspora — for a truly unique indoor-outdoor art experience. Curated by the team behind Latitudes Online in partnership with Rand Merchant Bank, the fair transforms Johannesburg into a hub of creativity, collaboration and continental artistic exchange.
Over three days, visitors can wander marble halls, secret gardens and rooftop pavilions while exploring exhibitions, talks and immersive programmes. Each year, RMB Latitudes spotlights a different African country through its International Focus initiative — a platform fostering cross-border artistic exchange, championing emerging and established talent, and strengthening collector networks.
In 2026, the focus is Nigeria. In collaboration with Yenwa Gallery, a curated exhibition will debut in Lagos before travelling to South Africa, showcasing some of Nigeria’s most exciting contemporary art and cultural practice.
Adding to the experience, La Motte Wine Estate brings its distinctive Winelands charm to Johannesburg as part of RMB Latitudes 2026. Showcasing the estate’s acclaimed Reserve Collection of wines, La Motte will also present a special pop-up of its mid-year exhibition, Among the Trees — offering visitors a taste of both its fine wine and artistic vision.
