Acclaimed for its authentic Cape Winelands hospitality, rich French Huguenot heritage and exceptional culinary offering, La Motte Wine Estate is the ideal Franschhoek Valley address for what has become one of South Africa’s most coveted food and wine experiences – JAN Franschhoek Season III.
By now, the generosity and flair of the 18-seater table in the quaint 18th-century Veepos cottage and the captivating setting amidst lavender fields, with a centerpiece age-old oak and picturesque Franschhoek Valley mountain backdrop are virtually famous. The allure of JAN Franschhoek, is however, also in Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen’s unique ability to combine the nostalgia of a South African family table with global culinary trends and innovation, offering patrons a journey through food and wine that is both familiar and adventurous.
Menus are proudly local, allowing room for the exotic as family traditions and regional favourites are re-interpreted through seasonal themes, inspiration from the lavender field setting, Jan Hendrik’s exceptional international gastronomic reference and the brilliance of beautifully paired food and wine. Season III of Jan Franschhoek promises to captivate with new additions to its winning recipe and invites guests to sensory reminiscence, while creating new memories as they indulge with and explore the flavours and textures of this extraordinary food and wine experience.
