The Marine Hotel in Hermanus invites diners to join a culinary adventure with Hamilton Russell Vineyards and Southern Right, to be co-hosted at its next Food and Wine Pairing Dinner in the current series, on Friday 3 May 2024 in The Origins Restaurant.
Hamilton Russell Vineyards is one of the most southerly wine estates in Africa. Known as a Pinot noir and Chardonnay specialist, its wines are widely regarded as among the best in South Africa and the New World.
Head Chef Oelof Vorster will start with elegant canapés and a glass of Southern Right Sauvignon blanc 2023 on arrival, before Anthony Hamilton Russell presents the Hamilton Russell Vineyards Chardonnay 2023, to be savoured with a delicious prawn bisque. This is followed by a starter course of beetroot elements, as culinary art on a plate, paired with Southern Right Pinotage 2022.
The main course of Outeniqua Springbok Loin is bound to meet its perfect match with Hamilton Russell Vineyards Pinot noir 2023. The evening concludes on a traditional note with warm sago pudding with cardamon, served with coffee or tea.
