The Greatest Show on Two Wheels is Almost Here!

Freestyle Kings LIVE

Freestyle Kings LIVE, the newest and biggest freestyle motocross and BMX spectacle in the world, arrives in South Africa this November

Freestyle Kings LIVE has been lauded as the greatest show of audacious stunts around, and, after a 13-stop tour of Australia and New Zealand, the action – double back flips, front flips, crashes and multiple world-first tricks – arrives in South Africa for the first time, scheduled for Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. An innovative partnership between TEG and Showtime Management means  fans will see international freestyle motocross and BMX on their doorstep for the first time since 2017.

Brought to you in association with SuperSport and regional radio stations Jacaranda FM (in Gauteng) and Smile 90.4FM (in Cape Town), Freestyle Kings LIVE makes its South African debut at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium on Saturday, 2 November at 6pm, followed by a 3pm event on Sunday, 3 November at Loftus Versveld in Pretoria and ending at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on 9 November at 6pm. Tickets are selling fast so fans are encouraged to book soon at www.showtime.co.za or www.ticketmaster.co.za to avoid disappointment.

This tour brings together some of the biggest names in the sport, with the assertive American Ronnie Mac and Australian trio Robbie Maddison – the modern-day Evel Knievel – and FMX World Champions Rob Adelberg and Pat Bowden all in the line-up, and all enjoying their first visit to South Africa. These international visitors will be joined by local FMX hero Dallan Goldman.

Says Adelberg: “We all like to push the limits in everything we do and if we want to do something we just do it!” Madison, who has leapt, on his dirt bike, onto the top of the replica Arc De Triomphe in Las Vegas as well as modifying it to be able to realise his “Pipe Dream” – riding down the tube of a wave in the ocean – simplifies this worldview still further, saying, “Action is the antidote! We cannot wait, with the best action sports stars on the planet, to show South Africa what Freestyle Kings Live is all about.”

Bowden believes, as all top athletes do, that total commitment is needed to reach the heights they achieve. “I believe in ‘Full Sends Only’,” he says. “If you’re all in and committed to the successful outcome, then that’s a ‘full send’ – and that’s what life is all about.” And Goldman knows his some country is a fantastic place to perform, saying, “I’ve been so lucky. My dirt bike has taken me all over the world over my 15-year career, but there is no better crowd to perform in front of than the South Africans. They are crazy for BMX and FMX, and they haven’t had a chance to see an international touring act in a long time. Freestyle Kings is a two-hour, non-stop night of thrills and spills for the whole family. We will sell you the whole seat, but you only need the edge!”

“Showtime Management successfully brought Monster Jam to South Africa on two occasions, and we are excited to continue bringing family-friendly motorised events such as the Freestyle Kings to this country,” says Tony Feldman of Showtime Management. “The jaw-dropping performances by the gravity-defying Kings of FMX and BMX will thrill lovers of motorcross, motorsport enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies.”

TEG Group CEO Geoff Jones said: “We are excited to bring this phenomenal high octane show that just sold out in Australia and New Zealand to one of the world’s top adventure sporting countries, South Africa! Our South African fans are set to witness the very best in family-friendly entertainment and an adrenaline-inducing live action motocross experience!”

Freestyle Kings Promoter and former professional FMXer Josh Hannah said, “South Africa has long been known as the home of action sports, with the craziest fans on the planet. When I started the Freestyle Kings Tour in 2021, it was always a goal of mine to take it to South Africa, and now it’s happening, I cannot wait to entertain the South African fans with the biggest and best action sports shows that is taking FMX and BMX to new heights”.
