The Marine Hotel in Hermanus continues its series of food and wine pairing dinners on Friday 7 June 2024, when it joins forces with Bouchard Finlayson to present another gourmet experience over five courses. Head Chef Oelof Vorster’s culinary creations will be complemented by wines from the Hemel en Aarde winery, presented by winemaker Chris Albrecht in The Origins Restaurant.
Canapés will be served on arrival with a glass of Blanc de Mer 2024, followed by starter courses of prawns and pineapple curry served with the Sauvignon Blanc 2024; and linefish enjoyed with the Crocodile’s Lair Chardonnay 2023. The main course of seared kudu loin promises to be a feast of flavours enhanced by the Galpin Peak Pinot Noir 2022, before the dinner ends on a high note with a Chevin custard tart paired with the 2021 vintage of the Aurum straw wine.
The event starts at 18h30 and bookings are now open at a cost of R745 per person. Tel (028) 313 1000 or email bookings@themarine.co.za. Diners may also enquire about the best available rate to spoil themselves with a stayover in the luxury of this 5-star hotel, a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
